The Calgary Stampeders were by far the favorite team to win the Grey Cup this year. They had an outstanding season: 15 wins and 2 losses, but they just couldn’t put it together for the Grey Cup.
I even tweeted that the game would be over by halftime because Calgary would have such a HUGE lead making it impossible for the Ottawa REDBLACKS to come back. In fact, the opposite ended up being true. The Ottawa REDBLACKS came out strong and it was Calgary who had to come back, falling short in overtime.
What’s the message here?
• Life is unpredictable. You never know what’s going to happen.
• You can prepare and rehearse and practice but in the end, it just might not be ‘your day’
• Be careful who you trade away because they may come back to haunt you.
